Who you callin' wierdo? What have you got against donuts anyway?
They're sweet and tasty. They're pretty much a good time, all the time. Now that we have that straight, I hope you enjoy the comfort art. |

Mike Eaton, Donut Art, from the Dutch Kunst Autoband, has a long and rich tradition dating way back to 2003. First originated in a basement in Attleboro, MA, the concept grew from the artist's, well, hunger for donuts.
Being tasty to both the eye and the tummy, donuts seemed a natural, albeit unhealthy, muse for the artist. The implied empty calories of the artwork suggest a darker side to the otherwise benign existence of ink (and sometimes glitter) on paper.
Besides the obvious cultural consequence, the artist's work has been deemed worthy of note because of the creation of a wider genre known as Comfort Art. Several critics (mainly the artist's wife) have cited the work as crucial as it has kept the artist from frittering away his talent by playing Play Station.
